Water Poem

She could fill oceans
with the words
her self-pitying mind
screams into the mirror

She could fill pools
with the cries;
the dangers of death
and the fear of falling

She could fill rivers
with the weak
'what ifs' and
'what if never agains'

She could break dams
damn the words
at the back of her mind
telling her she may as well quit

She could make waves
with her power; and yet
it's too easy
to give in.

(From the NaPoWriMo prompt 'what will make somebody weak')
